Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean is located northeast of the Mauricie and west of the Côte-Nord. It has a population of about 280,000 inhabitants. The region is named after Lac-Saint-Jean, a 1000-km2 lake that allows fishing and recreotouristic activities.
